I always say that a watch is one man’s only piece of wearable luxury. The way I justify buying a luxury watch is either to celebrate an important event or to reward myself for something I have achieved which gives added significance to the piece I am wearing. There are a few watches which I aspire to next and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chrono is one that is on top of my list. Audemars Piguet have recently updated this modern classic with seven different variations which include four in pink gold and three in stainless steel. The main changes Audemars Piguet has brought to the watch are the two-tone dials in contrast to the monotone dials which were on the previous series since 2012. The size of the chronographs positioned at the 3 and 9 o’clock have been increased as well as the width of the hour marks for more legibility. As for the position of the date it has been moved further down towards the 5 o’clock mark. Price: Starts at $24,000
TRD: The ideal is to have one watch for each day of the week.
Did you know: In 1958 Audemars Piguet were the first to create a pocket watch incorporated with jumping seconds.
