Made by Swedish company Cake who specialises in creating zero emissions motorbikes, the Kalk electric bike is available on pre-order for a whooping price tag of $14,000. But with a limited batch of 50 units there isn’t going to be one for everyone to get their hands on. What you will get is a bike built for clean off-road performance driving without releasing any fumes or making any noise. The motorbike’s minimalist silhouette is designed to be lightweight where a majority of alloy parts are CNC machined, together with the plastic parts being made in carbon fiber and painted. It only weighs 70 kg and goes up to 80 km/ph with 3 digital pre-settings that will adapt according to your level. Made to be a performant snappy ride with torque and silent acceleration. It will be another kind of riding experience respecting nature as even the tyres are designed to minimise their wear and footprint on trail. A futuristic dirt bike that isn’t that dirty after all, providing a gliding surfing experience as the company describes it. More info…
