Having recently come across a photo of the Tag Heuer Carrera Skipper on Instagram I was very excited to find out more about it. With its vintage look and simple face I thought it was an old series that had been repolished. I soon found out that it is a limited edition made in conjunction with Hodinkee and Tag Heuer. This beautiful model is a reinterpretation of its predecessor dating back from 1967. The Heuer Carrera Skipper reference 7754, was designed in 1967 and released in 1968 celebrating the victory of the the Intrepid yacht at the 1967’s America’s Cup. The vintage models are said to be very rare, with around 20 having been made and with only a dozen known to exist according to Hodinkee. So here is maybe a chance to get your hands on this limited edition of only 125 pieces the Tag Heuer Carrera Skipper that will be just as rare when this run sells out. The watch is a reinterpretation of the older model and not just a re-edition of the its predecessor. The size of the watch sits comfortably on 39mm, with domed crystal sapphire glass, 3 strap options with 2 nato bracelets and a sport perforated leather bracelet, which gives you the options to wear it at sea or in town. This is a truly beautiful watch that is well executed and will surely be very much coveted among watch enthusiasts and collectors alike. Find out more at Hodinkee: Price $5900
