When you think about electric bikes they’re hardly something you get really excited about. They may be very clean and practical but they are far from coming across as cool and fun. Well if you were hesitant in getting an electrified 2-wheeler this may be the time to reconsider. The Super 73 takes inspiration from the 70’s mini motorbikes with its retro design (eg. Taco Mini Bikes). Its thick tyres allow you to cruise on terrains such as your urban jungle as well as on grass or along sandy beaches. Very versatile and giving you more options to ride around, it’s like the ‘JEEP’ of electric bikes with that nice rugged all terrain look.
The Super 73 is a Californian based project that started on Kickstarter. With close to half a million dollars raised within a few weeks, it more than surpassed the founders expectations. Its retro looks and features certainly hit a chord with a crowd appreciative of its aesthetics. With speeds reaching up to 38 km per hour, a battery autonomy of up to 64 km, it’s enough to get you around comfortably. Other features include a retro headlight, rear brake light, 20″x 4″ fat tires, disk brakes, LCD Display with speed controls, pedal assist, mileage and time. On the videos and tests the Super 73 fairs out as a cross between an electric bike and a mini motorbike, a perfect combination as you won’t need a license (unless your state requires one).
There are 4 models to choose from depending on the speed capacity and options you want. It’s a very tempting range that will make you consider this awesome electric bike/motorbike. Learn more…
