Update:
Since the first post about the SeaBubbles flying taxi back in September 2016, what was once a concept is now in advanced testing phases. With more and more videos and reports throughout the web and social media, the SeaBubbles is now flying over water. It’s just a matter of time so we can test the sci-fi looking craft over the Seine river in Paris. If Paris comes to be the first city authorised to use the SeaBubbles, it will allow people to cross French capital in less than 15 minutes. This would be a great addition of mode of transportation to the much congested city, with promises of zero CO2 emissions, zero waves and zero noise.
Previous post:
With the city car congestion ever growing, waterways on the river Seine in Paris seems the natural way to go for founders Alain Thébault and Anders Bringdal of SeaBubbles. They intend to introduce a new way of transport which is eco friendly and *flies* over the water. Their modern shaped pod-like vehicle will carry up to 5 people and you can order a ride with your smartphone. The company has already raised 550,000 Euros and has backers such as French Government fund BPI. The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, has shown interest in being the first city to test the Sea Bubbles.
TRD: This will certainly be much sexier than being in a slow and overcrowded bus.
Did you know: The company have met with mayors around the world who are also interested in the SeaBubbles.
