We all need to escape the city life now and then, whether it be for the weekend or a longer stay to really recharge. My rule is that if you happen to be living in Europe, you have no excuse in not doing so and people from different continents are often surprised we Europeans don’t dally over borders more often. With so many destinations available at your fingertips with short plane trips, I urge you to book your next trip as you finish reading this post. To make things easier, here is a little bit of inspiration from one of my newly discovered and now favorite sites, Boutique Homes, which carefully curates exceptional house rentals and hotels around the world. The Dar Kawa Hotel is located right in the heart of the Medina in Marrakech. The hotel is a 17th century riad which was carefully restored in 1999 retaining all its authentic charm mixed with just the right amount of modern touches. With 4 ensuites available you are certain to find tranquility and relaxation. It is a little haven that you can also book entirely for your friends or family, and be relaxing in peace after wandering in the maze of the Medina souks. There are books you can pick in French or English and enjoy in this home away from home where taking time for yourself and slowing down is key. Price: starts at 90 euros
Did you know: Marrakech was established in 1062 built as the capital of the religious nomads called the Almoravids who wandered to the Tensift River.
