Kayaking is one activity I think everyone enjoys, but all too often people randomly do. You either have to live by the water or rent one for a couple of hours. Owning one would be great, but you can already foresee all the issues that come with it. First you need a big garage to store it, second a trailer or sturdy racks on the rooftop of your car to transport it (not taking into account you actually have to put it up on the rooftop). With all these factors put side by side, you clearly see why you never bought one in the first place and only end up paddling on certain occasions or on vacation. Well this may have just changed with the Oru foldable Kayak. Yes, you heard me! It’s a foldable origami kayak that you just place in a bag, in the trunk of your car or as checked luggage. How good is that! Enough said, videos and pictures are better than words. Scroll through the slideshow and click on the link if you want to know more. Price: $1,175
TRD: Well now, I can’t come up with anymore excuses for not going kayaking more often.
Did you know: The meaning of Kayak is actually “Hunter Boat” that was invented by the Inuit. They were previously made of seal or other animal skin stretched over wood or whale bone. Making very little noise while on water, they were perfect for hunting.
