If you love going underwater, whether it be scuba diving or snorkeling, you may be the next person to back the Scorkl project on Kickstarter. The Scorkl is a compact, portable and lightweight air tank that let’s you breathe underwater for up to 10 minutes. Once you have used all the air you can simply refill it with a high pressured hand pump specifically designed for it. It is as easy as pumping a bicycle tyre and the pump will save you from taking the tank to get filled by a commercial compressed air supplier. You also have the option of refilling the Scorkl within seconds on any scuba tank with its free adapter. The Scorkl has a regulator that is always on with a pressure gauge that let’s you know how much air is left at any time. So far the project has more than 2000 backers as I write this post with more than AU$ 1,294,688, a figure which will surely increase. The estimated shipping is around Oct 2017. Three options for the Scorkl are available for pre-order:- Scorkl with it’s scuba tank refill adapter; Scorkl with the refill adapter + pump or; Scorkl with the refill adapter + pump + a carry case. Price: Starts at $199 US
