The city of lights is home to the best hotel in the world ranked by ‘The Readers Choice Awards’ this year. La Reserve Hotel and Spa is located in the Golden Triangle of Paris a few blocks from the Champs-Élysées, set in a 1854 Haussmannian Hotel Particulier which was bought from French Fashion designer Pierre Cardin. It was entirely designed by French Interior designer Jacques Garcia with 26 suites and 14 rooms in total, with a private butler for every guest. With that level or service it’s not wonder the hotel has joined the exclusive club of Palace Hotels which is awarded by the French Tourism Ministry. And your little pooch is also welcomed as long he wears his bowtie. BOOK
Did you know: Haussmann buildings had to follow draconian specifications, the architecture of this period had to obey extremely strict parameters (Height ranging from 12 to 20 meters, had to be proportional to the width of the road without exceeding 6 storeys). With more than 40,000 homes built in this period, these buildings now represent about 60% of the buildings in the capital. (source)
