Although handy, backpacks aren’t my first pick to carry things around, as they can look too sporty or as if I’m going to the gym or on a trek. But for those riding bikes or motorbikes like I do, it is the most convenient choice. I came across the Malle Backpack named the Edward Roll Top Backpack which really caught my eye by its quality and its simplicity. You certainly won’t look like a backpacker in the city with it on your shoulders. It’s actually the perfect backpack for those who need one on a daily basis that fits a smarter wear. The Edward is minimal with a roll top closure which enables the bag to expand and contract depending on what you need to carry. Minimal on the outside but practical on the inside with a padded laptop pocket (for up to a 15-inch laptop), five interior tool pockets and wide leather shoulder pads that will mould the contours of your shoulders. It has a luxurious feel with its dry waxed fabric (which is robust and water resistant), bridle leather, cream cotton interior and forged brass hardware. The leather bottom also protects it from the water and from dirt sticking to it. Price: $410
