THE ADIDAS COURT VANTAGE

I have been on a lookout for quite some time, for a clean pair of white sneakers that you could wear casually but that would also look sophisticated and that weren’t worn by many. The mission seemed impossible to start with, as I went through all the sneaker stores in Paris looking for The Pair. Then I just happened to bump into the Adidas Court Vantage. Only problem was that they were in Blue, Red and Yellow colour block, not the crisp white pairs I had in mind. So I gave up the search in stores and decided to continue the hunt on the internet. After scrolling through many online stores pages, to my surprise there they were, the Adidas Court Vantage in white perforated leather. The feedback from my sneakerhead friends were all the same: “what are these?”, “where did you get them?”, “I’ve never seen them!”, “I like them!”. Mission accomplished, as it seems they have very much gone under the radar compared to the Stan Smiths. They may be a little hard to find but you if you are a hunter you might get lucky. Price: $90

Did you know: The Adidas brand was born out of sibling rivalry. It was called Gebrüder Dassler before Adi Dassler and his older brother Rudolf split the company and its assets in the 1940’s. One forming Adidas and the other Puma.
