I am usually a purist when it comes to skateboards and think you should use your own legs to push rather than having an engine do the job. In this particular case though, I find the Acton Blink Qu4tro Electric Longboard very interesting for its design and what it is capable of. Rather than being a skateboard for lazy people it can be used as a smart mode of transportation to commute from your home to work for example. Its design is futuristic and reminds me of Tron with the lights that glow on the side. The Acton Blink Qu4tro Electric Longboard has 4 Hub Motor wheels, the deck is made of carbon fiber with an aircraft grade aluminum frame, has front and back lights and led strips on the side. You will be able to ride uphill up to a 30% incline without any effort and have and autonomy of 35 kms per charge. It comes with a remote where you can control the speed and brake. You also have an app that allows you to track your routes and set your modes and can keep in touch with other Blinkers.
TRD: Going uphill without breaking a sweat makes me want to jump right on it
Did you know: Downhill longboards are usually 95cms-110cms long with similar shapes to a surfboard and are used to go downhill as fast as you can without losing control. Speeds can reach up to 120 km/h.
