Have you ever come across the Italian watch brand Unimatic by Simone Nunziato and Giovanni Mor, which was first introduced in 2015, with their Modello Uno diving watch? Unimatic a well chosen name will strike your attention with their minimalist design. I particularly like the balance between the sturdy diver’s watch casing, its simplicity and its vintage look which is very on point. The models for sale are very limited. If you go on their website you would not want to hesitate too long before they sell out. The Modello Uno reference U1-C in stealth black, made in collaboration with Colette is even more exclusive with only 50 watches available. Modello Uno’s come with Nato bracelets, automatic movement and are water resistant up to 300m. Modello Due come with 2 colour type of dials, one in olive with brown leather bracelet and one in charcoal with black leather bracelet. What is particularly remarkable is its 2.7 mm thick ultra double domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal that provides best performance in every light condition. It’s nice to know that the watch you will be wearing is only owned by a couple of hundred people in the world. Price: Starts at 350euros
TRD: I have only one wrist to wear my watch but there are seven days in a week. This is a good reason to get another watch for each day of the week.
Did you know: The first evidence of watches having bracelets as a standard use, came during the Boer War (1899-1902) between the English and Dutch settlers in South Africa. The straps would avoid soldiers having to dig into their pocket for their watches to coordinate their attacks.
