To find the hidden door of the Foxglove bar in Hong Kong you will have to walk through the narrow shop aisle of bespoke umbrellas which are displayed in wall cabinets. If you want to gain access, you will have to select the right umbrella handle that will open the cabinet wall to a glamorous cinematographic world of an imaginary international Englishman globetrotter. The decor by NC Design & Architecture is chic and masculine with inspirations taken from first class airplanes, vintage cars, old first class trains and cabin ship inspired bathrooms. This bar alone is a good reason for a stopover in Hong Kong.
Did you know: Speakeasies were hidden bars taking their origin in New York in the 1920s to the 1930s due to the prohibition and were mostly run by gangsters the most famous being the Cotton Club.
